Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Associate Director, HR Information Systems and Analytics, the Business Systems Analyst supports all aspects of PeopleSoft's HR, Talent Management, Training, Pension and Benefits Administration modules. In addition, this position supports other HR applications such as Kenexa, ImageNow, and more. Works on assigned task independently and with minimal supervision, but does not manage own project plan or others. Participates in meetings with end users and business owners along with the product manager or a lead analyst to identify system changes needed to support business processes or projects. Participates in the weekly production support rotation. Responds within one business day to end user questions, system issues and requests for data sets, reports and system enhancements. Independently research and troubleshoot the issue. Consults other analysts as needed. During a release, the Business System Analyst works independently on tickets. Documents in functional specifications the configuration change, enhancement or fix. Identifies and documents test cases that cover all possible scenarios that need to be tested. Executes the test cases during System Testing (TST) and Integration testing (INT). Collaborates with the technical team and other product analysts to ensure complete integration of solutions across benefits, HR, and payroll areas. Sign off on testing. Work with end-users and vendors to obtain their sign off during testing, as appropriate. Provides training if needed. Identifies opportunities for process and/or system improvements. Makes suggestions to implement those changes. Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
?College degree required. Minimum 3 years functional experience with PeopleSoft HRMS application. Strong technical skills and background preferred, including use of SQL and in-depth understanding of the PeopleSoft HRMS data model. Strong analytical skills, communication skills and customer service focus required. Ability to synthesize business issues into technical solutions and document requirements a must.

Additional Qualifications

Prior experience at a University is a plus. Able to set priorities, meet deadlines and work independently and/or as part of a team; to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Able to work comfortably with technical and non-technical individuals.
